The news was revealed at the company\u2019s recent AI Cockpit Innovation Experience event in Shenzen, China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Technically, the chip is a discrete graphics processing unit (dGPU) meaning it comes separate from the CPU chip and is predominantly geared towards powering quality graphics in games, which is exactly what Intel has in mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Intel chip is being called the \u201cIntel Arc Graphics for Automotive,\u201d billed as being capable of running \u201chigh-demand AAA gaming titles.\u201d The chips are packed with voice and facial recognition for what Intel is calling its AI cockpit experiences, for instance, controlling the car using voice commands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Intel plans for cars containing the dGPU to go on sale beginning next year.
