RM Sotheby\u2019s is set to auction off the stunning 1991 Ferrari F40 \u201cMinty Forty.\u201d This exceptional vehicle is a unique rendition of Ferrari\u2019s iconic supercar, distinguished by its rare exterior finish \u2014 a homage to the famous Verde Pallido 250 GTO built for Stirling Moss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Originally finished in Rosso Corsa, chassis 88538 has a storied history, starting with its delivery to Dieter Wolf in Germany in 1991. It has since changed hands several times and endured significant restoration, including repairs after an accident in 1998. The current owner, acquiring it in 2021, transformed the car by painting it in the striking pale green shade and re-trimming the interior in blue, adding a fresh, bold character to the legendary F40.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The F40 is celebrated as the last supercar developed during Enzo Ferrari\u2019s lifetime, featuring a 478 hp twin-turbocharged V8 engine capable of reaching 60 mph in just 3.8 seconds. With its advanced race-inspired design and impressive performance, it represents the pinnacle of automotive engineering for its era.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chassis 88538, now dubbed the \u201cMinty Forty,\u201d retains its matching-numbers engine and gearbox, confirmed by its Ferrari Classiche Certification.
