Porsche Ib\u00e9rica recently unveiled an exclusive \u201cCuarenta Edition\u201d Porsche 911, in celebration of its 40-year anniversary \u2014 featuring unique design elements inspired by Iberian history and culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 1984, Porsche transitioned from being represented by an importer in Spain to establishing a subsidiary, Porsche Espa\u00f1a, S.A., marking a new chapter in its relationship with Iberian enthusiasts. To commemorate this milestone, Porsche Ib\u00e9rica collaborated with Style Porsche and the Sonderwunsch Team in Zuffenhausen to create the Cuarenta Edition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe arrival of Porsche as a subsidiary in Spain and Portugal was a turning point for the brand,\u201d said Tom\u00e1s Vill\u00e9n, Managing Director of Porsche Ib\u00e9rica, adding \u201cWe are very proud of the work we have done in these forty years, and what better way to celebrate than with an exclusive model of the company\u2019s icon, the 911, for our market.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the most notable details of the Cuarenta Edition includes a custom Quercusverde exterior color, reminiscent of the holm oak leaves characteristic of the Iberian landscape. This bespoke color was developed through Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur\u2019s Paint to Sample Plus program. The anniversary logo, inspired by the Quercus tree, is hand-painted on the rear lid grille.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The interior boasts a luxurious two-tone Truffle Brown and Cohiba Brown leather combination, reflecting the craftsmanship of Iberian saddlery artisans. The seats feature Tartan textile center inlays with a specially developed color scheme. An elegant cross-stitching in Crayon and Truffle Brown along the dashboard and upper door panels adds to the car\u2019s exclusive appeal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As for performance, the Cuarenta Edition is based on the new Carrera GTS Coup\u00e9, featuring a T-Hybrid drive system with a 3.6L six-cylinder boxer engine. It delivers a system output of 398 kW (541 hp) and accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.0 seconds, with a top speed of 194 mph. Standard features include rear-wheel steering and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Porsche Ib\u00e9rica plans to keep one unit of the Cuarenta Edition as a heritage piece, showcasing the brand\u2019s legacy and commitment to its Iberian roots, with the total production number available for order not revealed at the time of writing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
