Debuting at the team\u2019s home race this weekend, the livery transforms Nissan\u2019s signature Sakura theme into an 8-bit visual style inspired by retro arcade games and Tokyo\u2019s electric streets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Notably, the launch follows this week\u2019s debut of NISMO Electric Racer Tokyo, an old-school arcade game also designed by Yoshida. With thousands of fans \u2014 including Nissan Formula E drivers Oliver Rowland and Norman Nato \u2014 competing for high scores, the digital experience has now evolved into a real-world moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speaking exclusively with Hypebeast, Yoshida shared, \u201cThe reaction to the NISMO Tokyo Racer game drop this week has been cool to watch, and thousands of fans have been playing. What really excited me about this project with Nissan was the opportunity to then bring my designs into the real world and have a visual impact on the track.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He added, \u201cTokyo is my home E-Prix, it\u2019s an event close to my heart, so to see my work feature on the car is an honour.
