Red Bull Racing is charging into the 2026 Formula 1 season with a fresh look and a major technical milestone, unveiling the RB22 at a landmark event in Detroit. Hosted at the historic Michigan Central Station \u2014 the home of technical partner Ford \u2014 the launch marked the official debut of Red Bull Ford Powertrains, the team\u2019s first in-house engine division.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The RB22\u2019s livery serves as a visual nod to the team\u2019s origins, ditching the matte finish of recent years for a high-gloss blue reminiscent of their 2005 debut car. This aesthetic shift coincides with a massive operational change, as the team now manufactures both its chassis and power unit under one roof. The \u201cthrowback\u201d design is intended to sharpen reflections under the track lights, signaling a bold new chapter while honoring the brand\u2019s two-decade history in the sport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond the paintwork, the launch confirmed a major shake-up in the driver lineup. Four-time world champion Max Verstappen remains the team\u2019s spearhead, but he will be joined by French rising star Isack Hadjar. Hadjar\u2019s promotion follows an impressive rookie campaign with the sister Racing Bulls squad, injecting fresh blood into the top team as they navigate the unpredictable new regulations, which include active aerodynamics and a 50\/50 split between electric and internal combustion power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
