BMW has announced that its elegant roadster concept, the Skytop, will go into a limited production run of just 50 units. Originally unveiled as a design study at the Concorso d\u2019Eleganza Villa d\u2019Este 2024, the BMW Skytop received such a positive response that the automaker decided to bring the two-seater to life for a select group of collectors and enthusiasts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Revealed by Adrian van Hooydonk, head of BMW Group Design, at an event in Milan, the production decision highlights BMW\u2019s commitment to creating exclusive, small-series models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The BMW Skytop features a powerful 4.4L V8 engine delivering 625 hp, paired with an eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission. The car\u2019s xDrive all-wheel-drive system ensures optimal traction, enabling a 0 to 60 mph sprint in approximately 3.3 seconds. Its dynamic design, inspired by BMW\u2019s iconic Z8 roadster, includes sharp lines and a pronounced shark-nose front.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Notably, the Skytop boasts an exterior highlighted by an aluminum spline extending from the bonnet to the rear, light alloy wheels with intricate fins and custom-developed LED headlights. Inside, the roadster\u2019s cabin features luxurious leather seats, brogue-style decorations and a premium Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the time of writing, all 50 units of the Skytop have already been claimed, reflecting the automaker\u2019s latest roadster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
