Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 4MATIC+ Claims Nürburgring Nordschleife Class Record

Mercedes-AMG has officially set a new Nürburgring Nordschleife class record with the all-electric Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 4MATIC+. Driven by driver Kevin Berger, the high-performance four-door sedan recorded an official, notarized lap time of 7:32.070 minutes, crowning it the fastest vehicle in its segment around the iconic circuit.

The record-setting run was achieved in a stock production-spec vehicle fitted with track-focused Pirelli P Zero Trofeo RS tires. Powering the electric CLA 45 is a tri-motor setup utilizing liquid-cooled axial-flux electric motors—two mounted on the rear axle and one at the front—delivering a combined output of up to 680 horsepower (500 kW). This powertrain configuration utilizes a fully variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system with rear torque vectoring, pushing the vehicle from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds.

Built on an 800-volt electrical architecture, the sedan integrates adaptive suspension, refined aerodynamics, and continuous thermal management engineered to sustain peak power output across demanding track laps.
