Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) has launched two limited edition versions of the evolved GR Yaris at the Rallye Monte Carlo, which marks the first round of the 2024 FIA World Rally Championship (WRC). Named after WRC title winners S\u00e9bastien Ogier and Kalle Rovanper\u00e4, these special editions, limited to 100 examples each take the Yaris platform to new heights with special features and design elements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two models, namely the GR Yaris RZ \u201cHigh performance\u30fbS\u00e9bastien Ogier Edition\u201d (Ogier Edition) and the GR Yaris RZ \u201cHigh performance\u30fbKalle Rovanper\u00e4 Edition\u201d (Rovanper\u00e4 Edition), are designed to pay tribute to their respective driver\u2019s abilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Set to release in the spring, these cars are as exclusive as they are performance-oriented. Initially previewed at Tokyo Auto Salon 2023, the special editions are supervised by TGR-WRT members Ogier and Rovanper\u00e4. Notably, Ogier is an eight-time WRC drivers\u2019 title winner, while Rovanper\u00e4 claimed back-to-back titles in 2022 and 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both editions feature unique 4WD control modes, replacing the \u201cGRAVEL\u201d and \u201cTRACK\u201d modes found in the standard GR Yaris. The Ogier Edition includes \u201cMORIZO Mode\u201d for balanced traction and turning, \u201cSEB. Mode\u201d for rear-wheel bias to enhance vehicle control at high speeds, and the standard \u201cNORMAL Mode\u201d. The Rovanper\u00e4 Edition offers \u201cDONUT Mode\u201d for controlled drifting and \u201cKALLE Mode\u201d for aggressive rear swing on curves, along with the \u201cNORMAL Mode\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As for curb appeal, the Ogier Edition is painted in a new matte color, \u201cMatte Stealth Gray\u201d and features a CFRP lightweight rally spoiler. The Rovanper\u00e4 Edition boasts a flashier livery, expressed through a three-tone paint job reflecting the motifs of Rovanper\u00e4\u2019s rallying helmet and comes with a variable wing. Both models sport WRC victory decals and steering wheel stitching that matches the national flags of France and Finland, representing Ogier and Rovanper\u00e4 respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, owners of these special editions will be treated to TGR-WRT-related special experience programs, further immersing them in the excitement of WRC. An exclusive plate commemorating TGR\u2019s WRC victory is also mounted on each car\u2019s dashboard, adding a special touch of history and exclusivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
