BMW’s Neue Klasse iX3 electric SUV (sport utility vehicle) has appeared in China’s latest regulatory filing catalog, advancing preparations for the launch of a model already open for pre-orders, with deliveries set to begin in November.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released its 411th batch of vehicle filings on Tuesday. The version listed is the iX3 30L, produced by BMW Brilliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The filings are open for public comment from September 9 to September 15. This is part of the regulatory process for vehicles entering the Chinese market and does not constitute final approval.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The filing shows that the iX3 30L features a drive motor produced by BMW AG, with peak output of 235 kW (315 hp) and a top speed of 180 km\/h.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The version uses a lithium iron phosphate battery, with cells made by a subsidiary ofCATL(HKEX: 3750) in Yibin, Sichuan province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The filing does not disclose battery capacity or driving range, leaving key specifications for the entry-level version yet to be announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The SUV seats 5 and measures 4,885 mm in length, 1,895 mm in width and 1,634 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 3,005 mm and a curb weight of 2,237 kg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BMWopened pre-ordersfor the long-wheelbase Neue Klasse iX3 at the Chengdu Auto Show, which began on August 21, with prices starting at 269,900 yuan ($39,810).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The iX3 30L starts at 269,900 yuan, the iX3 40L xDrive at 299,900 yuan and the iX3 50L xDrive at 339,900 yuan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BMW previously said the model would adopt uniform nationwide pricing, with final launch prices matching pre-sales prices. Deliveries will begin in November.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Developed specifically for China, the long-wheelbase iX3 is the first long-wheelbase electric SAV (Sports Activity Vehicle) built on BMW’s Neue Klasse electric vehicle platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its wheelbase is 108 mm longer than that of the standard version, with the additional space primarily benefiting second-row passengers. It is produced at BMW Brilliance’s Shenyang plant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Chinese version will also feature an end-to-end driver assistance system jointly developed by BMW andMomenta(HKEX: 6880), covering urban roads and highways, according to previously released information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
