It\u2019s been name-dropped in over 200 hip-hop tracks, and it\u2019s appeared in films and TV from The Matrix to The Sopranos. Now, it\u2019s heading into a new realm \u2014 one that\u2019s fully electric. Earlier today, General Motors announced that the first all-electric Escalade would release \u201clater this year.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dubbed the Escalade IQ, the new model will be the third EV in Cadillac\u2019s lineup, joining the Celestiq (a luxury sedan) and the Lyriq (a mid-sized SUV). Details on the car\u2019s design and features are sparse \u2014 General Motors\u2019 announcement was a sparse two paragraphs and only included a single image \u2014 but it\u2019ll likely use GM\u2019s Ultium battery tech.
