The feat was made possible by Guillaume Andr\u00e9, the CEO of a Quebec-based company called Ingenext, which specializes in parts, kits and modules that can unlock software restrictions in Teslas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As you\u2019d expect, the American automaker had limited the Model S Plaid\u2019s top speed to roughly 175 mph as a matter of safety, but with a few hacks, Andre managed to access the car\u2019s full potential, hitting a record speed of 216 mph.
