Demand for the latest electric vehicles may have surged in recent years, but the development of EV tires hasn\u2019t always kept up with this rapidly evolving technology. Hankook, however, is looking to bridge this gap with its iON Evo tires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Launched as part of its wider iON range, the high-performance tires are specially engineered around distinctive EV components, including weight and torque, to make drives more energy efficient. A key element in the design is the brand\u2019s revolutionary ProDurable Compound material. Made from advanced fillers and flexible rubber materials, it can withstand the heavier battery weight of EVs, helping to keep wear and tear at bay over the tires\u2019 lifespan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond the core demands of EVs, Hankook also considers the noticeably quieter experience of riding in these cars compared to ICE vehicles. With tires often adding a layer of noise to the journey, the iON Evo tires incorporate i Sound Absorber Technology with Opti Pitch Technology to reduce tread sound no matter the speed or size of the car.
