Comedian and notorious Porsche aficionado Jerry Seinfeld is offering a spectacular machine from his collection. His RUF-Modified 1971 Porsche 911S Coupe is currently up for auction on Bring a Trailer, with bids already surpassing $500,000 USD and rising ahead of the October 16 closing. The story of this car began in 2008 when Seinfeld acquired the 911S and immediately shipped it to RUF Automobile in Germany. Over the next three years, the legendary tuner completely rebuilt the car, transforming it into a bespoke driver’s machine. The overhaul included replacing the original engine with a RUF-built 3.4-liter flat-six, which delivers a formidable 340 horsepower, and installing a custom RUF six-speed manual gearbox.
The coupe maintains its timeless long-hood silhouette, finished in a stunning Gemini Blue Metallic. However, its modifications run deep, featuring a reinforced chassis, RUF Bilstein suspension, and powerful 930 Turbo brakes. Additional details include a power-operated sunroof along with Euro-style taillights, H4 headlights and a left side mirror. Inside, the interior is finished in black leather with classic Pepita cloth inserts.
