Mercedes-Benz Design Introduces the Maybach Ocean Club

Mercedes-Benz Design is extending its hallmark of ultra-luxury from the asphalt to the ocean with the announcement of the Maybach Ocean Club. Set aboard a conceptual private vessel named “Beyond Horizons,” this ship-based enclave reimagines the exclusive lifestyle of the 0.1%, offering a floating members’ club that echoes the grandeur of 1920s ocean liners. Inspired by Maybach’s historical roots in marine propulsion, the project translates the brand’s sophisticated automotive language into over 50,000 square feet of meticulously designed deck space and opulent staterooms.

Unveiled by Chief Design Officer Gorden Wagener, the “Beyond Horizons” concept seeks to offer the prestige of superyacht ownership without the traditional logistical burdens. By adopting a membership model, the Maybach Ocean Club provides a “turnkey” luxury experience, allowing the global elite to roam the seas in an environment that mirrors high-end real estate in Miami or Dubai. The interior aesthetic—scrubbed to an eternal newness—features the signature Maybach emblem and sybaritic design details throughout its cabins and dining areas.

Developed in partnership with German naval architects Dölker + Voges, the club represents a strategic expansion for Mercedes-Benz Places. While the ship remains in the proposal stage, it stands as a bold vision for the future of experiential luxury, promising a globe-roaming sanctuary for those looking to “get away from it all” in the company of like-minded peers.
