Acura Teases First All-Electric SUV, the ZDX and ZDX Type S

Nearly a year after announcing its firstall-electricSUV,Acurahas returned with a teaser for the forthcoming car. Set to make its debut at California’s Monterey Car Week on August 17, the ZDX was co-developed with General Motors, making use of its Ultium batteries.

The ZDX will hit the market in 2024, offered as the standard ZDX and theZDX Type S performance car. In a teaser, Acura doesn’t offer too many details about the vehicle but rather shows off a glowing silhouette of the Type S variant, a sportier counterpart to the standard.

The ZDX will be integrated withGoogle’s apps on its entertainment system and Google Assistant will provide hands-free controls. An improved version of Google Maps will be optimized to locate charging stations along driving routes. The ZDX will also mark the kick-off of Acura’s partnershipBang & Olufsenas its first car to feature the Danish brand’s audio system.
